How do I become a SkyMiles® Member?

It is free to join SkyMiles, and can be done in just a few minutes. We'll give you a Membership Number straight away. You can enroll online now.

Do I need to join SkyMiles to earn miles when I purchase through SkyMiles Shopping Asia?

Yes. As long as you're a SkyMiles Member and have logged in and clicked on the merchant site from the SkyMiles Shopping Asia site, you can earn miles.

Can I purchase from SkyMiles Shopping Asia if I am not a SkyMiles Member?

Anyone can browse the SkyMiles Shopping Asia site, however you must be a SkyMiles Member to purchase and earn miles.

How do I start shopping and earning?

Can I earn miles if I am not a SkyMiles Member?

No. You must be a SkyMiles Member to earn miles. Enroll online – it's free and easy!

Is it more expensive to shop via SkyMiles Shopping Asia?

No you will not spend any more by using our site – and you'll get the benefit of earning miles. It's the same price as shopping directly with the Merchants however by using our site you can earn miles on every purchase. And our service is totally free.

My miles have been awarded at a slightly lower rate that expected, why is this?

Many Merchants deduct postage and packing charges and the tax elements of a sale, before calculating how many miles you earn.

I signed into my Account and made purchases via SkyMiles Shopping Asia at http://asiashopping.delta.com, but my sales aren't showing up in my Account - what's going on?

  • It takes up to 5 working days for a purchase to display as 'Pending'.
  • It may be that the web browser used at the time of purchase had cookies disabled. Cookies allow us to track your purchase - without them there's no way for the system to allocate miles to your Account. Read more about cookies.

My cookies are enabled but my purchases still aren't showing up in my Account?

Here are some best practice guidelines to help make sure you receive your miles:

  • Make sure you login at http//asiashopping.delta.com using your SkyMiles Account Number and PIN/Password and click on the 'Shop Now' button to access a Merchant.
  • Complete your purchase online, all in one session.
  • If you decide after check out that you want to purchase something else, close the merchant site window and start the process again from the SkyMiles Shopping Asia site at http//asiashopping.delta.com.
  • Don't retrieve previously-saved items in your shopping cart; start completely from scratch.
  • Don't click on another banner or website promoting the merchant before you complete your transaction. If you must visit another site before completing your purchase, please use a different browser to do so. Interrupting the browser session that you started from http//asiashopping.delta.com can affect tracking.
  • Don't use a promotional discount voucher other than those displayed on SkyMiles Shopping Asia site, doing so may cause the referral to come from the code issuer rather than SkyMiles Shopping Asia.
  • Don't use "refer a friend" programs, again this changes the referrer from SkyMiles Shopping Asia to a different party
  • Telephoning the merchant to complete or modify your order will likely over-ride the SkyMiles Shopping Asia referral (and therefore your miles)
  • Increasingly some advert blocking software programs are blocking the special tracking codes we need to track your purchases.

I have contacted you about missing miles for a purchase, how long can I expect to wait for my miles to appear?

Each Merchant will need to review the transaction details you have provided us (Name, Address, SkyMiles Number, Order value, Order Number) and determine if this is a valid sale. Most Merchants review all missing transactions in detail and it can take up to 90 days for a Merchant to contact us about and confirm your purchase.

Why have my miles been canceled?

Your miles can be canceled for a number of reasons. The most common are:

  • You have returned the products you purchased to the Merchant
  • Your payment failed or you didn't meet the requirements of the Merchants credit check
  • Your new registration has not been deemed genuine
  • Your last click with this Merchant didn't come from this site
  • Your transaction didn't meet the Merchants Terms and Conditions

I forgot to Login before buying something. Can I still have my miles?

Sorry no, we're unable to retroactively allocate miles. The next time you shop, always visit the Merchant's website via SkyMiles Shopping Asia at http://asiashopping.delta.com so that cookies can track your visit and we can allocate Miles.

Are my miles immediately credited to my Account?

  • When you buy something, the transaction will appear in your SkyMiles Shopping Asia Transaction History as 'Pending' within 5 working days.
  • We'll then confirm the transaction with the Merchant before updating the transaction status to 'Approved' and adding miles to your Account. This can take up to 120 working days for some Merchants (and is subject to the Merchant's Terms & Conditions). Some Merchants and purchases can on occasion take longer but we will always try to get merchants to approve as quickly as possible.
  • Once your transaction is 'Approved', miles will be posted to your SkyMiles Account within 2-4 weeks. Miles will appear on your SkyMiles Account and SkyMiles Asia Transaction History, and will be available for use and redemption at that time.

How do I know how many miles I'll earn?

SkyMiles Shopping Asia will clearly outline how many miles you'll earn. In most cases, this will be expressed as a number of miles earned per dollar or your local currency spent.

  • For example, if a Merchant is offering 2 miles per US Dollar spent, and your transaction total is USD50, you can expect to receive 100 miles.
  • In another example, you may not earn miles per dollar spent, but rather certain number of miles for a single purchase, or by registering for a service with that Merchant. In this instance, you'll receive miles for that one action, but not for subsequent actions or purchases on that Merchant's site.

Can I see my SkyMiles Shopping Asia Transaction History online?

Yes.

  • When you buy something the transaction will appear in your SkyMiles Shopping Asia Transaction History as 'Pending' within 5 working days.
  • We'll then confirm the transaction with the Merchant before updating the transaction status to 'Approved' and adding miles to your Account. This may take up to 120 days for some Merchants (and is subject to the Merchant's Terms & Conditions). Why do I earn more miles with some Merchants than with others?

It's our Merchants who decide the level of miles given for shopping with them.

There's an online shop I visit frequently, but it's not part of SkyMiles Shopping Asia. How can I get it added?

We're constantly adding and looking for new Merchants, so if you know of a great online service or shop that you'd like to see added to our growing list, please contact us.

What happens if I cancel a purchase I've made or want a refund?

You can cancel purchases and get a refund in the usual way that you would do direct with the Merchant. However, you will not earn miles for any canceled or refunded sales.

I was interested in a Merchant who is no longer listed, can you tell me why?

From time to time Merchants may decide they no longer wish to participate in SkyMiles Shopping Asia and fund miles for our Members. When this happens, we bid them a fond farewell and remove them from our listings.

Can I use my miles to redeem?

Yes, that's what the miles are for. Once miles are credited to your SkyMiles Account you can redeem them for Award Travel or to find out more about how to use your miles, visit http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use_miles/index.jsp

Can I purchase products directly from SkyMiles Shopping Asia online Merchants with my miles?

No, miles cannot be used when purchasing from Merchants through SkyMiles Shopping Asia.

Can I exchange my miles for cash?

No. Once miles are credited to your Account you can redeem for Award Travel or other Redemption options, but they cannot be exchanged for cash. Visit http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use_miles/index.jsp to find out more.

Do the miles in my Account ever expire?

SkyMiles has eliminated mileage expiration so miles in your SkyMiles Account do not expire.

Will I be contacted by any of your Merchants?

SkyMiles Shopping Asia will not share any personal information about you with our Merchants. However please note though that when you click a 'Shop Now' link to a Merchant, you will leave SkyMiles Shopping Asia completely and be subject to that Merchant's Terms & Conditions. If you leave your details with a Merchant, they may contact you.

What's a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data used by web servers to help identify web users. Cookies can be turned on and off by you at any time in your web browser menu. Cookies allow SkyMiles Shopping Asia to award your miles for any transactions with Merchants.

How are cookies used at SkyMiles Shopping Asia?

We use cookies to track SkyMiles Shopping Asia transactions so that we can credit miles to your SkyMiles Account for any purchases made with our Merchants.
How it works is that a piece of code on our Merchants' websites records your unique ID number and transaction, and then passes that back to us. We then use this to match it back to your details so we can allocate miles to your Account.

How can I check my cookies are turned on?

In Internet Explorer, you open up the browser then:

  • go to “Tools,”
  • select “Options,”
  • under “Privacy,” move the settings slider to “Medium” or lower
  • hit “Ok.”

In Firefox, you open up the browser then:

  • go to “Tools,”
  • select “Options,”
  • under “Privacy”, select “Accept cookies from sites,”
  • hit “Ok.”

In Safari, you open up the browser then:

  • go to “Edit,”
  • select “Preferences,”
  • under the “Security” tab in the “Allow Cookies” section, select “Only sites you navigate to”
  • hit “Ok.”

In Konqueror 3 and 4 (for Linux):

  • select “Configure Konqueror” from the “Settings” menu,
  • in the new Configure Konqueror menu, find and select 'Cookies' from the left side menu (you might need to scroll down the list a bit),
  • to enable:
    - Select “Automatically accept session cookies,”
  • hit “Ok.”
